The light coming through the window while it's raining intrigued me, it's based on an ad from a magazine in the mid eighties, I believe it was for a soap opera.. Untitled Oil On Canvas 1987 16 X 20

I was asked to paint this model for a  friend.    I painted this for her but never gave it to her.   Before I got to finish the painting,  several of my friends and I  had lost contact with her; as people often due though out life. Untitled Oil on Canvas, 1986 16 X 20

This painting is based on another photographer based out of California, His name is Jim French, I was looking through his book in a book store and this picture jumped out at me.  I eventual came across a copy of his photograph and decided I would attempt  to  translate it to canvas. I have had many complements on this painting.  It took me three years to complete. I still believe it's not finished and I'll probably never finish  it .24 X 36

This painting was inspire by an album cover by a rock group, The Who, titled Face Dances.  The album cover contain several on the band member's faces and skulls. I receive different reactions to this one.  I had comments from friends who viewed the painting feeling it as a statement about AIDS.   Another friend thought it was a contemplation of what was after life and death. This painting was based on Tom Bianchi, a male nude photographer,   I was captured by the reflection of the model in the pool of water and wanted to capture it on canvas,  This is my interpretation of his photograph. 24 X 36

I was inspired to do this one from an article on Herb Ritts, a black and white photographer.  I interpreted what I thought would be the colors. This one took me five years to complete. Untitled (based on a Herb Ritts Photo) Oil On Canvas, 1989 16 X 20
